“There is no future without renewable energy and sustainability.” Railton Faz
Technology Nucleus – Railton (Faz) Lima, is the creator, patent owner and Brazilian worldwide supplier of a carbonisation via pyrolysis technology specifically designed to convert organic municipal solid waste into clean renewable energy and other highly marketable products with a minimum environmental impact.
The Nucleus clean environment technological route carbonises organic matter via pyrolysis which results in high calorific value fuel briquettes. There is no incineration of waste but decomposition in an oxygen-free environment at carbonisation temperatures.
The Nucleus, through its exclusive representative in Australia and region, Ember Eco Solutions, provides a waste-to-energy comprehensive approach that simultaneously destroys waste and recovers energy via scalable modular engineering solutions, strong and simple enough to operate in any sized location.
History and Values
Founded in 1993, the Technology Nucleus, Railton (Faz) Lima is a scientific private centre for development of environmental technologies, based in the northeast of Brazil. It works for the pursuit of tools to achieve sustainable development in its purest form: development without compromise of the future. These are the Nucleus’ highest triggers and values which gel in perfect synergy with Ember Eco Solutions’.
In other words, the Nucleus objective is to create and materialise projects for the improvement of life on Earth and, thus, community living.
The Nucleus’ projects and technologies link economic, social, cultural and environmental aspects in the pursuit and enhancement of the present challenges of the planet.
Jose Railton de Souza Lima is the President of the Nucleus and the inventive brain behind the Nucleus’ technologies. He is a technical-industrial inventor, a community leader and a business man who has conquered the world with his inventions. Jose Railton de Souza Lima currently holds 19 patents in the industrial sector, many currently in use by several multinationals.
Ember Eco Solutions has partnered with the Techno-Environmental Nucleus Railton Faz in order to disseminate worldwide and commercialise the magnificent systems comprised in its multi-award winning Municipal Solid Waste Processing Plant, its waste to energy and minimum environmental impact properties.
To date, the Nucleus has received many awards and recognition from local government, industry, social, business communities and international consortiums, some of which are expressed below:
1ST PRIZE INTERNATIONAL BIOMASS AND BIOENERGY AWARD – 9 Bioenergy Expo Fair in Valladolid, Spain
In 2013, the Techno-Environmental Nucleus Railton Faz, with the municipal solid waste carbonisation plant (for technology and sustainable application of biomass generating thermic and electric energy out of waste), won the International Biomass and Bioenergy First Prize at the 9 International Bioenergy Expo Fair, in Valladolid, Spain, where it competed with countries such as Germany, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia, Canada, Chile, Denmark, USA, Spain, Finland, and others.
In 2013-2014, the Award was supported by the main entities and associations which represent the sector at global level such as WBA – Bioenergy World Association, RENABIO – National Association of Biomass and Energy (World Bioenergy 2010 AWARD – Sweden); Brazilian Biomass Industry, amongst others.
Along with other multinationals, the Techno-Environmental Nucleus Railton Faz received the Award, which was handed over by Mr. Oliver Dubois, Coordinator of Bioenergy Group, Environment and Climate Change from ONU – Organization of the United Nations.
2nd PRIZE BIOMASS INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGY – 9 INTERNATIONAL BIOENERGY CONGRESS, Sao Paulo – SP, Brazil
2nd Edition of the “Biomass Innovation and Technology Award BR” awarded the 7 main initiatives that revolutionized the Biomass sector in Brazil in 2014. The BIOMASSA BR INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGY AWARD is today the main stimulator for companies to remain firm in the search for innovations and technologies that help Biomass to strengthen in the Brazilian energy market.
The Award, counts on the support of the main entities representing the sector worldwide, such as WBA – World Bioenergy Association, RENABIO – National Biomass Energy Network, Brazilian Journal of Biomass Industries and Biomass BR Portal.
In 2011, the municipal solid waste carbonisation plant won the award for the BESTGREEN Technology as it aims to produce clean energy using urban waste as energy matrix in addition to solving one of the most serious environmental problems of the planet, the accumulation of garbage in landfills and dumps.
COPAM – ENVIRONMENTAL CERTIFICATION COUNCIL, Brazil
In 2010, the carbonisation of municipal solid waste plant process received the COPAM Certification. COPAM the Environmental Policy Council being the body responsible for the formulation and implementation of environmental policies in the State of Minas Gerais – Southeast of Brazil, where the Natureza Limpa – Unai, MG, Project was implemented under Railton Lima’s patented process. Among COPAM’s responsibilities, it is the formulation of technical standards and environmental quality standards, the authorization for deployment and operation of potentially polluting activities, and the adoption of the standards and guidelines for the State’ system of environmental licensing.
EXPORT MERIT AWARD – WOOD MAGAZINE, Parana – Brazil
In 2009, The Wood Magazine (Revista Madeira) recognised the municipal waste processing plant as an incredible achievement in biomass processing and clean energy generation.
2nd BEST INVENTION, RAITEC – INVENTORS FAIR, Brazil
In 2005, won the Second-Best Invention Prize with RAITEC – Recuperator of Volatile Gases, in Santa Catarina Fair in the south of Brazil.
